Reflections on The Blog

So I've been doing this now for a couple of months, I'm reflecting on why I'm doing it.

Since I'm not generating a lot of traffic on the internet, it's not for any monetary profit.

Mostly it gives me a way to set down variety of thoughts that are passing through my mind.

Early on I sent out a couple of information memo's to folks on my mailing list, letting them know that many of the things I previously felt called to email to them would now just be listed on The Blog. As a result instead of subjecting them to my thoughts directly, I gave them the choice to just come and see on their own.

But the greater gain is helping me articulate what I believe and experiment with how to say say it.

Recently I added a fish(hit) counter so I could track just how many times people visit The Blog.

In John 21 Jesus asked the disciples about the fish they caught. "10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them." ESV


This was with their nets full, so they must of been big fish. So when I reach that mark we will have a celebration.


Visitors can also become "followers" and can add their own comments.

Obviously, from the stats, I have yet to make it into the rank of the Top 10 bloggers. But if you are reading this, and my other posts, hopefully you are finding interesting information and links.

I actually use The Blog myself as a reference site to link to my favorite sites....sort of like setting up sites in a Favorites Bar.

I'm still learning blogging techniques, and today I've added an index to by topic. As I add posts you will see the index build. Selecting a topic will show you all posts in that category.
