Reading Gen 22:1-24
I was struck by looking at it from a new perspective. Instead of just looking at Abraham's faith in offering Issac, look at it from Issac's perspective. Listen to the words of the passage and think about Jesus' willing submission to go to the cross. His questions to the Father in the garden. How he carried the cross and Issac carried the wood. Look at Abraham's convidence in light of God's knowledge that Jesus would be raised from the dead.
It's not a perfect fit but you can see lots of overlapping concepts.
The passages is worthy of a very slow and mediative reading.
