This short message speaks to parts of what we studied yesterday. About bad revivals, good preaching and the work of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God and Prayer.
Revival
When I get time I'll post longer about our study in parts of the Westminster Confession of Faith. Yesterday we began with the end of the election, calling, conversion cycle. Reading Chapters XIV and XV, When we finish we plan to go backwards to Chapter III.

Our senior pastor is retiring this spring, Kevin DeYoung would make a get pastor to replace him. But I’m sure he would never give up his university setting.
I read his earlier book on the Emergent Church and I’ve followed him a long time along with others on The Gospel Coalition Site. In the interview he makes some good points about the church.
