Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Speaking of faith, faith is a grace, it is given by God. We then respond to this faith. We believe it and act on it. This is the natural response of the elect, once they are aware of being born of God, by the spirit. Our response may have different forms and will have different seasons, much like our physical birth, were we cry out immediately, or later when learn to walk and fall often, and later grow in wisdom, stature and understanding. This is all the grace of God. The chapter ends with a great example of this.
