Psalm 148 - Praise ye the Lord.!

One of the aspects of the Bible I have grown to love it the use of lists by the writer.

There are many great lists in the Bible....one might think of the 10 Commandments, or the fruit of the Spirit, to name two.

In Psalm 148, we find a list of the many sources I'd praise to God. This.  Seems to expand on earlier declarations.

Psa 19:1  To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Psa 50:6  And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

Psa 97:6  The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

Psa 57:11  Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.

The final verse ending, is really a command to us much like...

Ye is the subject form of the second person, personal pronoun, plural. "...Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" (Gen 3:1)

Praise ye the Lord.

Psalm 148King James Version (KJV)

148 Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights.

Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.

Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.

Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.

Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.

He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:

Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:

10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:

11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:

12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:

13 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.

14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the Lord.
