This came up in our Westminster Confession of Faith Study....how in the early 20th Century Neo-Orthodoxy which was too save the church ended up laying the solid intellectual ground work that has led us to deny, reinterpret and change the Bible to help us be accepted by the World. It's amazing how many paths we have leading off the way, rooted not only in this thinking but if you follow it all the way back to the orignal question and denial/reinterpretation of the Word of God in Genesis 3:1. In thinking about staying on the narrow path, one could not do much better than to reread Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress or even to attempt THE Strait Gate OR, Great Difficulty of Going to Heaven
The latest rising of this concept came up in Albert Mohler's post.
