Acts 17 - Echo of Repentance

Our three person men's breakfast Bible study looked up all the verses in the Bible referring to repentance, a fee months ago. Good study.

But here we get a reconfirmation of this echo.

Act 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Act 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by thatman whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Peter like Paul says it this way..

Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

I think what is said in these verses is really the answer to a question that was raised at the end of a blog post I just read. There is a bit of an edge to the article, but the author makes a point, old John Bunyan wrote a whole book about do called "professors" of the faith, but this still applies today.
